Paul E. Rubenacker
Paul E. Rubenacker, 73, Pierceton, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at his home as the result of injuries suffered in a house fire. He was born on October 24, 1942, in Memphis, Tenn. to Robert Paul and Phyllis Ann (Baker) Rubenacker.
He graduated from Cairo High School in Cairo, Ill. and from DeVry University in Illinois. He was married May 25, 2001, in Run Away Bay, Jamaica to Barbara Jean (Brejcha) Hanger and she preceded him in death. He retired as a linesman from Lyons and Pinner Electric Company Local 9 IBEW in Brookfield, IL after 40 years and moved to the Pierceton area permanently in December 2014 after spending summers and weekends there since 2004.
He was a member of the Abate of Illinois and a former Boy Scout Leader.
He is survived by three daughters: Stephanie (William) Squires, Hoffman Estates, Ill.; Heather (Ronny) Estrada, Romeoville, Ill.; and Catherine (Casey Schmidt) Rubenacker, Romeoville, Ill.; two sons: John (Lisa) Rubenacker, Joliet, Ill.; and Timothy (Nichol) Rubenacker, Romeoville, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and brother: Robert (Brenda) Rubenacker, Auburn, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw. Private family services will be held in Illinois at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
