Letitia ‘Tish’ Gessinger
Letitia “Tish” Gessinger, 75, Nappanee, passed away at her home on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, unexpectedly of natural causes. She was born on April 29, 1940, in Nappanee to Al and Erdine (Stillson) Nettrour. On June 12, 1959 she married Richard Gessinger. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1990.
She is survived by two daughters: Kelly (Mark) Simpson; Kami Glass, both of Nappanee; four sons: Rick Gessinger, Topock, Ariz.; Jeff (Tia) Gessinger, Goshen; Daric (Stephanie) Gessinger, Wakarusa; Brett (Kerri) Gessinger, Goshen; sister-in-law: Nancy Nettrour, Sugarland, Texas; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Brant Nettrour; and a sister: Sandra Collins-Bartman.
Tish was a 1958 Graduate of Nappanee High School. She lived in this area all of her life. She worked in the cafeteria at NorthWood High School for 20 years. Tish was an avid NorthWood Panther fan. Her biggest joy was following her kids and grandkids through all of their activities. She also loved to dance and just enjoyed life to the fullest.
Family and friends may call on from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3. at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee and one hour prior to the Funeral Service which will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at the Nappanee Church of the Brethren. Rev. Byrl Shaver will officiate. Burial will follow at South Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Tish Gessinger Memorial Fund.
