Kay Goshert Camp
Kay Goshert Camp, 63, Mentone, took the hand of her Savior, and stepped into heaven at 10:52 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, at Millers Merry Manor of Warsaw, where she had resided since March of 2014. Kay Arlene was born July 18, 1952, to James and Iola (Tucker) Goshert.
She was a 1970 graduate of Mentone High School, a 1975 graduate of Manchester College, and held a Master’s Degree from Ball State University. Kay taught business at Rochester High School, and I.C.E. at Tippecanoe Valley High School.
In her spare time, she made floral arrangements, enjoyed sharing produce from her garden, and had attended The Cross Church of Rochester, Indiana. Kay was diagnosed with cancer in 2007, and fought it with her strong faith and determination. Kay always had a heart of compassion for hurting people, especially those also dealing with cancer.
Survivors include her parents: James and Iola Goshert, Mentone; two sisters: Janet Goshert, Fort Wayne; Faith Goshert, Mentone; two brothers: Kerry (Kim) Goshert, Mentone; and Jerry (Reba), New Paris; three nieces: Brooklyn; Carissa; and Danae, all of New Paris. She was preceded in death by a brother: Lyle Lee Goshert.
Friends and family may call at King Memorial Home from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, with the funeral to follow at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Forrest Tabor will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.
