Big Brothers Big Sisters To Host Annual Fundraiser
ALLEN COUNTY — Big Brothers Big Sisters invites the community to participate in its largest annual fundraiser: Bowl for Kids’ Sake.
Each year, thousands of volunteers across northeast Indiana and south-central Michigan come together to support Big Brothers Big Sisters in its mission to help at-risk children through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships.
One hundred percent of funds raised go directly towards helping match local children in need with an adult mentor. This year’s event theme is the 1980s.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for teams of five. The team captain will work with Big Brothers Big Sisters to reserve a date/time to bowl, encourage team members to raise pledges and show up on the date chosen for two hours of bowling with rentals, concessions and the chance to win door prizes.
Each team member is encouraged to raise at least $100 in pledges and incentive prizes will be awarded to those who raise more. Depending on the amount raised, incentive prizes include T-shirts, Visa gift cards, Bose Soundlink headphones, Fitbits, iPad Minis and a grand prize entertainment package, including a 55” Samsung Smart LED TV with a sound bar.
Times and dates for Kosciusko County and Whitley County are 12:30-2:30 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. Saturday, March 19 and 12:30-2:30 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at The Bowling Alley, Warsaw.
