William A. ‘Bill’ Clay
William A. “Bill” Clay, 73, of Huntington, formerly of Warsaw and North Webster, died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at his home.
Bill was born on Oct. 9, 1942, in Warsaw, the son of Cloice and Cleo (Parker) Clay. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1961 and married Paula G. Hardin on Feb. 16, 1974, in North Webster.
Bill retired in 2000 from Bristol Myers (Zimmer) in Warsaw after 39 years of services. He was a member of American Legion Posts #223 of Syracuse, and formerly of Post #253 of North Webster, where he served as SAL Commander for two years. He was an avid golfer, scoring a hole-in-one on Aug. 6. 2013. He was also a Green Bay Packers fan.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years: Paula G. Clay, Huntington; two daughters, Cathy A. (Brett) Groth, Olin, Iowa; Stacey (Scott) Lewis, Huntington; a son: SFC Brian (Wendy) Clay, Clarksville, Tenn.; three sisters: Caroll Laney, Warsaw; Marita Cox, Akron; Delores Ginther, Bremen; and 12 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Marvin Clay.
There will be no visitation or funeral services.
