Dr. Jerry R. Landwerlen
Dr. Jerry R. Landwerlen, 73, Mentone, passed at 7:58 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016.
He was born on June 29, 1942 in Shelbyville, Ind. to Russell “Dutch” and Roberta “Rae” (Tucker) Landwerlen. He was married on Aug. 17, 1963 in Shelby County, to Susan Scott, and she survives.
Jerry was a dentist in Silver Lake, where he retired. He also had offices in previous years in St. Paul, Wabash, Montpelier, and for the Veterans Administration in Marion. He also was a dairy farmer for nearly 20 years. He was a graduate of Shelbyville High School in 1960. Jerry went on to Indiana University for his Dentistry Education graduating in 1967. He enjoyed woodworking and also made mannequin heads that he sold. He was an animal lover of all kinds.
Survivors include wife: Susan Landwerlen, Mentone; sons: Thad (Melissa) Landwerlen, Holly, Mich.; Thane (Melissa) Landwerlen, Warsaw; Ty Landwerlen, Warsaw; Taber Landwerlen, Indianapolis; five grandchildren: Hannah; Taren; Graham; Tevin; and Avery; sisters: Nancy Everhart, Brazil; Marilyn (Greg) Graham, Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by parents: Russell “Dutch” and Roberta “Rae” Landwerlen.
Following his request there will be no services held at this time.
