BZA Tables Petition
WARSAW — The Warsaw Board of Zoning Appeals has tabled a petition for a variance at 907 S. Union St.
The property owner has requested a variance to allow for an accessory dwelling unit. The property is currently zoned R-1, which only allows for single-family only.
The board had initially planned to send out mailings to residents in the area, however they discovered that the mailings had not gone out. Because of this, it was suggested they table the petition to give time for surrounding residents to receive, fill out and send back the mailings.
The property owners were also not present during the meeting, another reason the board chose to table the petition.
“I truly would be more comfortable with the petitioner here,” board member Tammy Dalton said, adding that with the property owner present, the board would be able to ask questions before making a decision.
