Representative Curt Nisly Applauded For Opposing Tax Hikes
INDIANAPOLIS — Americans for Prosperity-Indiana applauded Representative Curt Nisly for opposing tax hikes to pay for transportation funding. AFP-IN’s 70,000 members have led the charge urging lawmakers to oppose hiking taxes to pay for transportation funding.
“Representative Nisly understands that Hoosiers don’t need higher taxes, Indianapolis needs to practice responsible spending,” explained Justin Stevens, Indiana state director of Americans for Prosperity. “His opposition to hiking taxes shows that he is committed to fighting for the taxpayer. It’s not always easy to say no to tax hikes and demand fiscal responsibility, but it’s the right thing to do. We applaud Representative Nisly and urge him to stay the course.”
Americans for Prosperity has delivered thousands of emails and phone calls to lawmakers’ offices urging them to vote no on higher taxes and instead prioritize existing gas sales tax and other revenues for transportation needs.
