Al Reed Robinson
Al Reed Robinson, 86, Leesburg, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
He was born March 25, 1929, Audrain County, Mo., to Al Newton and Bertie Ellen (Munday) Robinson. He entered the US Army on Jan. 20, 1947, and was honorably discharged after a second enlistment. He married Rose Mae Jordan on Oct. 27, 1951, in Ark. He was employed at Chore-Time Brock for 22 years, retiring in 1994 as a welder.
Al enjoyed restoring old cars and home remodeling. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hunting for mushrooms.
He is survived by wife: Rosie Robinson, Leesburg; two sons: Allen (Nancy) Robinson, Warsaw; Joseph Robinson, Leesburg; daughter: Cathy (Baldemar) Espinoza, Warsaw; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jack D. Robinson, Mexico, Mo.; and Oscar L. Robinson, Palestine. He was preceded in death by father: Al Newton Robinson; mother: Bertie Ellen Robinson; six brothers: Myle Lee Robinson; Burdell Robinson; George W. Robinson; Bill Robinson; Bob Robertson; Albertus Robinson; four sisters: Myrtle E. Jones; Goldie O. Davidson; Ruth E. Harding; and Mary Robinson.
There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg, officiated by Pastor Bob Jarboe, Chaplain for Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice. Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
