Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
2:21 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, North Detroit Street north of Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Debra S. Cunningham, 55, West Bender Street, Knox, and Maxine E. Johnson, 94, Gilliam Drive, Warsaw. Cunningham changed lanes and her vehicle collided with Johnson’s. Johnson was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital with complaints of chest pain and shortness of breath. Damage up to $2,500.
3:17 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, East Elwood Street east of East Trusdell Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Barbara B. Grant, 81, East Elwood Street, Syracuse, and Noble D. Coffing, 52, Fourth Street, New Paris. Grant backed into the NIPSCO trailer behind Coffing’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
7:25 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, West Old Road 30 and Prairie Street, Atwood. Drivers: Luann Wray, 59, West Lutes Drive, Warsaw, and Dorian D. Ford, 37, Radical Road, Sumter, S.C. Wray stopped for the stop sign, but proceeded and his vehicle hit Ford’s oncoming vehicle, causing it to spin and, in turn, hit Wray’s vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
3:56 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, East SR 14 and South County Farm Road, Silver Lake. Drivers: Angela C. Hardesty, 35, North CR 200W, North Manchester, and Rosalyn M. Boocher, 66, East CR 1050S, South Whitley. Hardesty pulled into oncoming traffic and her vehicle hit Boocher’s. Damage up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:26 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, North Detroit Street north of Plaza Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Morgan M. Smith, 35, East Duffin Street, Columbia City, and Rhonda M. Prater, 47, Laurel Wood Drive, Warsaw. While Prater was attempting to turn out of the Arby’s driveway, Smith’s oncoming vehicle hit hers. Damage up to $5,000.
7:20 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, Hepler Drive north of West Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Dalton W. Kanode, 72, West CR 100N, Warsaw, and Hal D. May, 53, East Lynwood Drive, Warsaw. Kanode’s vehicle stopped abruptly and May’s vehicle rear-ended it. Damage up to $10,000.
6:50 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, Lake City Highway and Access Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Anthony J. Sheneman, 23, East CR 650S, Pierceton, and Joan K. Scott, 65, West CR 1100N, Milford. Sheneman pulled into oncoming traffic and his vehicle hit Scott’s. Damage up to $2,500.
4 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, West Winona Avenue west of South Logan Street, Warsaw. Driver: Jodie M. Nichols, 21, South SR 25, Warsaw. Nichols’ vehicle crossed center, left the road and hit a guardrail. Nichols was sent to Kosciusko Community Hospital for a blood draw. Toxicology results are pending. Damage up to $10,000.
8:16 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 617 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw. Driver: Anthony I. Ulrey, 17, Ranch Road, Warsaw. As Ulrey was backing his vehicle up, it slid down an incline and hit a utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
4:16 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, North CR 100E and East CR 200N, Warsaw. Drivers: Angel Cervantes, 40, East CR 200N, Warsaw, and Beverley A. Wallstead, 61, EMS D23 Lane, Syracuse. Cervantes stopped at the stop sign, then proceeded into oncoming traffic and Wallstead’s vehicle hit his. Damage up to $2,500.
