Early Morning Fire At RR Donnelley
WARSAW — Warsaw/Wayne Township Fire Territory was called to RR Donnelley & Sons Co., 2801 W. Old 30, Warsaw. at 3:56 a.m. today, Jan. 20, for a fire.
According to Fire Chief Mike Wilson, the fire was initially dispatched as being located in the east portion of the building involving shredded paper, potentially a dust collector.
Winona Lake Fire Department was called to assist along with other fire agencies: Pierceton, Leesburg/Plain Township and Atwood fire departments, placed on standby. Atwood Fire Department was later called to assist with manpower.
The fire was determined to be under control at 5:26 a.m.
The American Red Cross was called to provide a canteen for approximately 40 firefighters.
