Andrew “Drew” Elliott Overmyer
Andrew “Drew” Elliott Overmyer, 25, 20B Road, Argos, died at 10:53 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 in the 6000 section of N. Old US 31 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Dec. 2, 1990, in South Bend to Timothy M. Overmyer and Lori L. (Nordgren) Overmyer. Drew lived in the Argos community all of his life.
He was currently the secretary at The Cross Church. Drew had also worked at Madras, Argos; Zimmer, Warsaw; and Zentis Foods, Plymouth.
Drew attended The Cross Church, Rochester, and was a licensed soccer official with the IHSAA and USSF. He was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 2009. While in school, he was active in soccer, basketball and baseball. He also was in choir and the musicals.
Drew is survived by his parents: Tim and Lori Overmyer, Argos; sister, Ashley A. “Overmyer” (Chris) Beldon, Argos; brother, Joshua M. Overmyer, Argos; paternal grandparents: Meril and Dorothy Overmyer, Argos; and maternal grandparents: Elliott and Shirley Nordgren, Niles, Mich.
Friends may visit with the family from 3-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at The Cross Church, Rochester. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at the church with Rev. Martin Furrow of The Cross, Rochester, and Rev. Brian Trump of Parkside Community Church, Argos. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
