Wawasee Wins Plymouth Invite
PLYMOUTH — It was a great day of competition for the Wawasee gymnastics team. The girls traveled west to compete at the annual Plymouth Gymnastics Invitational and would come back as champions. The Warriors posted a season-high team score of 101.325 to beat out DeKalb (98.70). Warsaw took seventh with a score of 75.775.
Reagan Atwood led the way for Wawasee with another excellent all-around score, this time earning a 35.45. Atwood placed first on vault (8.7), beam (9.1) and floor (9.1). She took second on bars (8.55) behind DeKalb’s Caitlin Marlow (8.7).
Jada Parzygnot took second with her floor routine for Wawasee, earning an 8.075. Parzygnot was third in the all-around with a 33.525.
Remi Beckham had a solid day for Warsaw placing fifth in the all-around with a 32.325. Beckham was second on vault (8.65), fifth on floor (8.675) and tied for fifth on bars (8.0).
