Wawasee Kiwanis Host Annual Soup Supper
SYRACUSE — The Wawasee Kiwanis seventh annual Soup Supper will take place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at the Syracuse Community Center.
The special aspect of this soup supper is that the soups are provided by local businesses, restaurants, non-profits and individuals. Participants may enter this contest by submitting a registration form that can be found online at www.wawaseekiwanis.org or picked up at the Syracuse Community Center.
Registration forms can then be returned to either the Syracuse Community Center or a member of the Wawasee Kiwanis Club. Contest participants will be asked to prepare 3-4 gallons of their favorite recipes and drop the soups off at the Syracuse Community Center by 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29.
Kiwanians will serve the soups to the public during the Soup Supper from 5-7 p.m. that night. The public will then vote on their favorite soups in the following categories based on who prepared them: individual, business, restaurant, and non-profit organization. The winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event and the winning soup in each category will receive a plaque.
For those that would like to attend the soup supper and taste all of the wonderful soups, the cost will be $6 per person. Come and try the many varieties of soups and vote to decide who will be the winner of the Wawasee Kiwanis seventh annual Soup Supper.
