Raymond Lee Cassidy, 35, Wawaka, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016. He was born on Aug. 6, 1980, the son of Robert Cassidy and Shirley Brewer (Jacobs) in Hindman, KY. On Feb. 24, 2004, he married Sara Emeline Hershberger in Warsaw.

He is survived by his wife: Sara Cassidy, Wawaka; two children: Damian; Devon Cassidy, Wawaka; his grandmother: June Cassidy, Cromwell; father: Robert Cassidy, Mishawaka; mother: Shirley Brewer, Cromwell; siblings: Michael (Amy) Jacobs, Wolf Lake; sister: Bobbi Cassidy, Cromwell; two nieces: Laina Hershberger; Jade Jacobs; two nephews; Michael and Blade Jacobs; and aunt and uncle; Albert and Linda Arispe, Wawaka. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Raymond Cassidy; and Lydia and Frank Jacobs.

A true outdoors man led him into really enjoy hunting and fishing. He walked many nature trails and mushroom hunted during those times. No matter the weather, you could find him outdoors. Cutting wood, hanging out in tree stand and taking in what the skies had to offer.

A funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Yeager Funeral Home, Ligonier. A private burial will take place at the Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center. Family and friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14.
