Linda L. Muratori
Linda L. Muratori, 58, Columbia City, passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. Born Dec. 24, 1957, in Angola, she was the daughter of Ray and Ida (Ida Aborn) Malston.
She graduated from Angola High School with the Class of 1976. She served as a Police Officer for the Columbia City Police Department from 1988 to 1998 and was the first D.A.R.E. officer for the department. On Sept. 20, 2001, she married Robert T. Muratori. She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, F.O.P., American Legion and Moose Lodge.
Survivors include her loving husband: Robert Muratori; Father: Ray Malston, Avilla; sisters: Penny (Richard) Trzynka, New Haven; Margaret Malston, Lyles, Tenn.; brother-in-law: Rick (Pam) Muratori; father-in-law: Harry and Peggy Bennett; stepchildren: Todd (Lacey) Muratori; Joshua (Sara) Muratori; Sarah (Chad) Huizenga; and Selena (George) Owens; grandchildren: Danielle and Gabriella Muratori; Steven; Shane; and Shawn Huizenga; and Clay; Bodi; and Heather Muratori; and many beloved nieces; nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother: Ida Malston; infant sister: Cathy Malston; and brother-in-law: Ron Muratori.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, Columbia City. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City with calling one hour prior. Father Gary Sigler will be officiating.
