7:08 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, North CR 100E, south of East CR 250N, Warsaw. Driver: Alyssa A. Hatfield, 28, Highlander Drive, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $1,000.
1:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, East Van Buren Street and South Pearl Street, Leesburg. Driver: Samuel C. Strike, 39, North Meridian Road, North Manchester. Strike turned his vehicle too wide and hit a parked vehicle while turning. Damage up to $5,000.
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, Tecumseh Street, south of Pontiac Drive, Warsaw. Erika G. Mancilla, Tecumseh Street, Warsaw, reported someone had struck the right front of her vehicle while parked along the street in front of her home. Damage up to $1,000.
3:05 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, Ross Avenue and North Park Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Marcia K. Ulrich, 58, North Park Drive, Columbia City. Ulrich was unable to stop her vehicle, sliding through the intersection hitting a curb. Damage up to $5,000.
10:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, West Lutes Drive, east of North Grandview Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Amanda K Huey, 30, West Lutes Drive, Warsaw. Vehicle slid on the snow covered road hitting an REMC pole. Damage up to $5,000.
5:02 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, South Roosevelt Street and East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Joshua J. Niccum 37, East Market Street, Warsaw, and Emily C. Behny, 26, Cambridge Drive, Warsaw. Niccum cited for no insurance and expired plates. Niccum stated his brakes did not work as he approached the intersection and his passenger side window was snow covered and drove into the intersection when he knew he would not be able to stop in time, causing him not to see the Behny vehicle, hitting the passenger side. Damage up to $10,000.
