Esther ‘Adaline’ Sellers
Esther “Adaline” Sellers, 86, Pierceton, passed away at 6:05 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She worked as a secretary for seven years for Beauchamp Insurance in Wabash, and was a resident of Kosciusko County, for past 64 years. She was also a homemaker to her family, an incredibly loving wife, mother and she especially loved her grandchildren. Adaline was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church of Warsaw, loved to sew, garden and cook. One of her best attributes was that she always loved helping others, and she made friends with everybody.
Adaline was born on May 13, 1929, in Wabash, to Glen Palmer and Dollie (Smith) Palmer. On June 19, 1951, she was married to Leonard Devon Sellers, who survives in Warsaw.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son: Michael (Dianna) Sellers, Pierceton; two daughters: Jean (Dave) Cox, Columbus, Ohio; Patricia (Patrick) Hermsen, Madison, Wis.; six grandchildren: Laurie (Johnny) Him-Velarde, Chicago; Kelly (Joey) Nguyen, Columbus; Michelle Holt, Madison; Eric Sellers, Larwill; Dana (Derrick) Day, North Manchester; Calvin (Alicia) Sellers, South Whitley; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson: Kyle Holt; and four sisters: Kathleen Denny, Josephine Fordyce, Betty Jean Walsh and Susie Shaw.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home of Warsaw and officiated by Chaplain Forrest Tabor. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery of Pierceton.
