SYRACUSE — A library card is not necessary to use and enjoy the Syracuse Library. Public computers are always available for an hour of usage each day. Wi-fi connection is provided around the clock. Newspapers, including the Wall Street Journal, are offered each day for in-house reading. Plenty of seating is available for reading, working, or games with the children.
Winter-time knitting and crocheting meets on Thursday with time for children from 4-6 p.m. and adults from 5:30-7 p.m. Individuals are encouraged to bring either crochet hooks or knitting needles and yarn to work on a project. The library is accepting knitting and crocheting supplies to loan to beginning people for use in the library.
Children’s book club is having a pajama party. Children from kindergarten to fifth grade are welcome to join an evening with a movie, book and popcorn at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12. Everyone is having fun in their pjs.
One book, One Hour, an adult book club is meeting for an evening discussion of the book, “Breakfast at Sally’s” by Richard LeMieux. The group is serving decaf at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, in the meeting room. New faces are welcome and book ideas are encouraged.
