Billy G. Kincaid
Billy G. Kincaid, 70, Columbia City, passed away Tuesday evening, Jan. 5, 2016, at his home. Born Aug. 25, 1945 in Fillmore, Ky., he was the son of Billy W. Kincaid and Geneva (Barker) Kincaid.
At a young age, Bill’s dad moved the family up to the Columbia City area and he graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1963. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Dana Weatherhead in Columbia City from 1963 to 1978 and then at JB Tool in Fort Wayne, where he retired in 2010. He married Rosemary Palmer on Oct. 18, 1969. The two enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling around the country on their motorcycles.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years: Rosemary Kincaid; father: Billy (Shannon ) Kincaid of Beattyville, Ky.; two sisters: Edwina Mosher and Evelyn (Don) Riley, Columbia City; and brothers, David Lorn (Linda) Kincaid and Doyle (Kris) Kincaid, Columbia City; three sisters-in-law: Sharon (George Jr.) Waltenburg of Richmond, Ruth (Kenneth) Hoffman and Jane (Jack) Craig, Columbia City; brothers-in-law: Karl (Brenda) Palmer and Jim (Darlene) Palmer, Columbia City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1995; brothers-in-law: Bob Mosher, Fred “Bill” Palmer and Ralph Palmer.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at the funeral home with Pastor Lannie Maloney officiating. Burial will follow at South Park (Annex) Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in his honor to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or Shriners Hospital for Children.
