Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
10:17 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, East Market Street, west of North Washington Street, Pierceton. Driver: Jeremiah J. Young, 37, West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Young lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions, crossing the center line and hitting a parked vehicle registered to Kim A. Anders, East Market Street, Pierceton. Damage up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:36 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, North SR 13, south of East CR 900N, North Webster. Drivers: Shaylee R. Holcomb, 27, Tulip Tree Road, Fort Wayne, and Raven R. Fancher, 19, West Washington Center Road, Fort Wayne. Holcomb swerved her vehicle to miss a deer and collided with the oncoming Fancher vehicle. Holcomb and a passenger declined the EMS. Fancher complained of pain on her right forearm and was examined by the EMS but was not transported. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6:29 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, West Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kyle J. Alcorn, 28, North Penny Drive, Warsaw, and Martha E. Mudd, 61, Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Alcorn attempted to back his vehicle from a parking space, hitting the Mudd vehicle, which was being driven through the parking lot. Damage up to $5,000.
3:42 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Charles F. Boring, 52, South Indiana Street, Warsaw. Boring was backing up from a parking space and thought he might have made contact with a parked vehicle registered to Joan D. Kizer, Dausha Court, Warsaw, parked behind his vehicle. He stated he looked at the vehicle and did not see any damage so he drove home. Witnesses to the accident gave police a description of the vehicle and Boring was located at his residence. Damage up to $2,500.
