Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
1:19 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, North CR 500E north of East CR 1000N, Syracuse. Driver: Gerald G. Young, 76, EMS D18A1 Lane, Syracuse. Young’s vehicle went off the roadway and into the trees. Damage up to $5,000.
7:51 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, West SR 14 and south CR 750W, Silver Lake. Driver: Kelsey M. Burke, 22, South CR 750W, Claypool. Burke’s vehicle slid into the ditch. Damage up to $2,500.
6:19 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, South Packerton Road and East CR 600S, Warsaw. Drivers; Tyler W. Hinora, North SR 5, Larwill, and Linda K. Kling, 61, Singer Road, North Manchester. Hinora’s vehicle slid into the intersection in front of Kling’s oncoming vehicle and they collided. Kling was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital with complaints of knee pain.
5:56 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, South Country Club Road and East CR 225S, Warsaw. Drivers: Andrew O. Sparks, 26, Maye Street, Warsaw, and Karly L. Hall, 24, West CR 325N, Larwill. Sparks made a righthand turn and his vehicle collided with Hall’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
4:33 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, North CR 700W north of West CR 1350N, Nappanee. Drivers: Brent A. Mishler, 38, West Walnut Street, Nappanee, and WK Hartman, 53, North CR 425W, Milford. Mishler’s vehicle collided with Hartman’s vehicle in the intersection. Damage up to $10,000.
1:33 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, North SR 15 south of East School Street, Leesburg. Driver: David F. Crail, 44, Green Meadow Lane, Huntington. Hit utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
6:14 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, South SR 25 west of West CR 250S, Warsaw. Driver: Michelle D. Young, 47, South SR 25, Warsaw. Young’s vehicle rolled off the roadway and hit a tree. Young complained of chest pain. A passenger in Young’s vehicle, John T. Young, 16, South SR 25, complained of back pain. Both were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. A third passenger, Tiffany D. Young, 20, South SR 25, had no visible injuries.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:54 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, South Harkless Drive south of South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Sabrina J. Cunnington, 33, East Morrison Island Road, Syracuse. Cunnington’s vehicle spun and went into a ditch. Damage up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:14 p.m Monday, Jan. 4, 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw. Drivers: Judy M. Weidner, 71, Maye Street, Warsaw, and Bethany D. Faulkner, 31, East Center Street, Warsaw. Weidner backed her vehicle into Faulkner’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
10:12 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 3755 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Daisy L. Gregory, 18, EMS D22Lane, Syracuse, and Velvet V. Bowser, 50, East CR 200S, Akron. Gregory backed her vehicle into Bowser’s. Damage up to $2,500.
7:40 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, East Center Street north of Argonne Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Brooke D. Hamstra, 34, East Ridge Valley Drive, Warsaw, and Jennifer M. Miller, 36, East CR 500N, Kendallville. Hamstra’s vehicle rear-ended Miller’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:12 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, East US 30 and East Van Ness Road, Pierceton. Driver: Levi J. James, 19, North Main Street, South Whitley. Another vehicle passed James’s vehicle and began to fishtail, causing swerve and lose control and into the median, striking two road signs. James complained of back pain but declined medical treatment. Damage up to $5,000.
