WARSAW — Adult and teen programs for January have been announced for the Warsaw Community Public Library:
The adult and teen (sixth grade and up) winter reading program runs from Monday, Jan. 4, to Monday, Feb. 29. You can read or listen to audio books, count your pages, and pick a prize. Choose whatever titles and authors you enjoy as there is not set reading list. Register online or at the reference desk.
Drop-In Zone runs from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, for grades six through 12 only. Drop in to play video games and board games, watch a movie and enjoy snacks.
Off The Shelf reading group meets to discuss “The Shoemaker’s Wife” by Adriana Trigiani from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7.
Lake City Piecemaker’s quilt club meets in meeting room C from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8.
The chess club meets from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 9, Jan. 16, and Jan. 23 only. Bring a game if you have one, and beginners and experts are both welcome.
Cookbook club meets from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11. Learn how to make noodles.
The Knit and PURL Club meets from 6-7:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11. Beginners and experts welcome. Bring your projects, as help is available.
Writer’s club meets from 6:30-7:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11. Topics are “snow” and “after the celebration.”
“Cough and Colds” meets from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12. Register for this discussion.
New Release Tuesday is back. Join us for a second romp at this Transylvanian hotel from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12. Rated PG.
Make it and take it crafts will be making a wooden spoon snowman from 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13. It costs .50. Children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult in a 1:1 ratio. Register for this event.
Discuss Social security changes from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 16. Changes are coming. Learn what they are and how they will affect the baby boomers. Register for this discussion.

The Gluten Free support group meets from 12:15-1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20.
Discuss Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s book “Eat to Live the Joel Fuhrman Way” from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25. See videos, demonstrations, and try food samples of healthy eating. Cooking tips, too! Seating is limited, so please register.
