Army Wants You To Eat MREs For 21 Days
INDIANAPOLIS — Uncle Sam needs you to eat Army food, better known as “Meals, Ready to Eat” or MREs.
The Army is trying to figure out how to make the meals in a pouch taste better, and are looking for people to eat nothing but MREs for 21 days and then their normal diet for 10 days. This also includes drinking only water and black coffee, since there are MRE-style drinks.
A volunteer could also be asked to be a part of the placebo group and eat their normal diet for 31 days.
The Army says this study isn’t an opportunity to lose weight, but to help make a healthier meal for soldiers.
And, you get $200 if you complete the study.
