Vein Institute, Jefferson Students Support Troops
WARSAW — Vein Institute & Medi Spa, Inc. recently joined forces with Sandy McClellan’s sixth grade class and Jennifer Long’s fourth grade class at Jefferson Elementary School for Treasures For Troops’ holiday stocking drive.
The goal is to not only send a bit of the holiday season across the miles, but most importantly to let our soldiers know they are still being remembered and appreciated for the jobs they do.
Each stocking contains a personalized letter from the children along with various treats. According to organizer Susan Manns, more than 400 treat bags were collected throughout the community.
This is the third time Jennifer Kauffman, CEO of Vein Institute & Medi Spa, has partnered with McClellan for one of the soldier drives. “I love the students in her class. Last year we had a good experience sharing the stocking drive with her classroom,” Kauffman said. “I have a nephew who served in Afghanistan for several years. The troops need to know we love and support them.”
McClellan also noted that the service project allows her students to learn about our troops. “It is important today’s children learn about freedom and the sacrifices our soldiers and their families make,” she said.
