Cookies, Cocoa and a Movie at the Library
Get set for a cozy afternoon at the Library with Cookies, Cocoa and a Movie, on Tuesday, Dec. 29. Fill a mug at the scrumptious cocoa bar and decorate your own cookie from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Then snuggle in for a screening of the animated movie, “Inside Out” until 4:30 p.m.

Christmas Break Boredom Busters
Kids of all ages can drop in at the Nappanee Public Library during Christmas break for a variety of activities.
Open LEGO building will take place in the Kids’ Craft Room for all ages during Library hours from Dec. 21 – 31, and special make and take winter crafts will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Dec 23, and Dec. 30, or while supplies last.
The library is also providing a teen boredom cure for students aged 11-17 from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22. Enjoy games, crafts, snacks and cocoa with friends.

Rainbow Loom and Perler Bead Workshop at Library
Create and Collaborate is a new series of craft workshops for kids at the Nappanee Public Library from 4-5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, and Wednesday, Jan. 20. Kids can choose to participate in one or both of these workshops where they can share their knowledge of weaving with rubber bands on a rainbow loom and/or creating designs by melting plastic perler beads. Both projects will take place simultaneously. Come to share, come to learn! Bring your own looms, bands and beads, or use the Library’s limited supply.
Registration is required one week in advance of each program.
Teens can make LED Art
Students in grades six through 12 are invited to make a free glowing work of art at the next Teen Tuesday program at the Nappanee Public Library. Meet in The Cube, the Library’s Makerspace, from 4-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5. Students will use LED lights with stretched canvas to make a unique piece of art for their walls.
