Robert R. Roatcap
Robert R. Roatcap, 48, Pierceton, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, in his residence. He was born on April 15, 1967, to Jack Sr. and Wanda L. (Place) Roatcap in Santa Maria, Calif.
He served in the US Navy as a welder and fire fighter on the USS Iowa. He was united in marriage to Connie M. Lewis on March 18, 1989, in Paintsville, Ky.
Robert loved to read, watch movies, cook, camp, catch fish and hunt deer; he also was a huge Star Trek enthusiast.
Robert is survived by his wife: Connie Roatcap, Pierceton; his children: Justin (Amber) Roatcap, Cromwell; April (Bill) Miller, Etna Green; Kit (Elizabeth) Craft, Claypool; and Shaun (Holly) Craft, Warsaw; his father: Jack Sr. Roatcap, Wichita, Ks.; Jack Roatcap II, Ligonier; sister: Honey (Brian) Sawyer, Claypool; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother; and one nephew.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Military Honors at 2 p.m. There will be no service.
