Billi Campbell Andrews
Billi Campbell Andrews, 87, passed away on Dec. 13, 2015, in Palatka, Fla.
She was born in 1928 in Mount Pleasant, Tenn., to William and Irma Campbell, moving to Warsaw in 1951. In 1956, she married David Andrews Sr. who preceded her in death. In 1991, in Miami Beach, Fla., she married Robert Wishman, who preceded her in death.
She and David raised their two children: Judy Truex and David Andrews Jr. While in Warsaw, she ran her own beauty salon from 1960 to 1967 and then served as the matron of the county jail (now the county museum), where Dave served as sheriff from 1967 to 1974. She moved to Florida in 1982, where she worked as a property manager in both Cape Canaveral and Miami Beach. After fulfilling a lifelong dream of taking a trip to Scotland, she moved to Mooresville in 2005 where she spent ten years before moving to Satsuma, Fla., to be near her sister, Emily.
She loved attending church, gardening, golfing, listening to music, learning new things, spending time with family and friends, and studying genealogy.
Surviving are a daughter; Judy Truex, Warsaw; son: David (Elaine) Andrews Jr.; sister: Emily Lengyel; two granddaughters: Heather Truex; and Tracy (Jason) Nichols, all of Warsaw; four great-grandchildren: Brandon Pequignot, Noblesville; Katrielle Wood; Ian Nichols; and Ella Nichols, all of Warsaw; a great-great-granddaughter: Zuri Pequignot, Noblesville; a niece: Donna Jean Clarke, Satsuma, Fla.; and three nephews: John Lickteig, Ga.; Jim Lickteig; and Ted Bowen, both of Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Charles Campbell; and a sister: Donna Lee Lickteig.
A memorial service and celebration of life is being planned for a future date.
