Leesburg Removes Voting Districts
LEESBURG — In a brief meeting of the Leesburg Town Council, held Monday evening, Dec. 14, the council voted unanimously in favor of an ordinance to remove local voting districts.
The idea behind the ordinance is to make all Leesburg elected officials at-large, meaning the town as a whole elects each person.
The council also voted on an ordinance to update the town’s definition of public nudity, stating it is not a violation for a female to breastfeed a child in a public establishment within town limits.
