Everyone In The Act At The Trench
BOURBON – Triton was afforded the luxury of getting just about everyone into the swing Tuesday night. The Trojan boys basketball team used a total team effort to suffocate Bethany Christian, 72-34, in boys basketball at the Trench.
All 13 Trojans in uniform played at least three minutes against the Bruins, 11 of which scored. Grant Johnson led the charge with 16 points, four boards and two blocks while Masen Yeo added 11 points, six boards, three assists and two blocks.
Dalton Bailey settled at nine point and seven boards, Jordan Anderson had eight points, six rebounds and three assists, and Jarrett Martin and Jarrett Kreft each finished with six points and two rebounds.
Triton shot 50 percent overall in the game (26-52) and held a 28-11 advantage at the half, holding the Bruins to four points in the first quarter and just 29 percent shooting (4-14) in the first half.
Ian Bomberger paced the Bruins with eight points and five rebounds.
Triton controlled the JV contest in a 41-25 final over Bethany. Beau Hepler led the Trojans with 14 points and Adam Stevens chipped in with 12 points. Ivan Ramos led Bethany with 11 points and four rebounds.
Triton (5-2) will next play Friday night at Winamac while Bethany (1-4) will host LCA in the first game of Saturday’s Bethany Christian Tournament.
