Webster Chamber Sets 2016 Plans In Motion
NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Chamber of Commerce ended 2015 by sharing information about upcoming events, promotions and activities in 2016 at the general membership meeting held Monday, Dec. 14, at the North Webster American Legion Post 253.
“The annual award banquet for the chamber’s members and employees will be held Monday, March 7, with location to be announced,” said President Sue Ward, Sue’s Creations. David Colquitt, Eastlund Funeral Home, and Susan Stump, The Papers Inc., will be the board members in charge.
Written nominations are being accepted for North Webster Person of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Large Business of the Year for 2015 to be awarded at the dinner. Person of the Year needs to have volunteered for community projects during several years with no thought of personal benefit.
Small Business of the Year must have five or fewer employees and be a chamber member for five years. Large Business of the Year should have six or more employees and been a chamber member for five years.
Both categories need to honor businesses or organizations contributing greatly to the community. Nominations for all three awards can be mailed to North Webster Chamber, P.O. Box 19, North Webster, IN 46555.
Membership applications for 2016 will be on the website, www.northwebster.com, as well as being mailed to all current members.
