Ledford Hensley
Ledford Hensley, 82, Warsaw, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 11, 2015, at Signature Healthcare of Bremen, where he resided for the last 2 and a half months of his life.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 years: Merline who resides in Warsaw. He will be dearly missed by all of his family. He worked at Schraders Automotive for 20 years and then started Ledford’s Gun and Pawn Shop, where he met so many nice people. He always treated his renters and clients at Ledford’s with respect and was rewarded by God with good health until the last five or so years, so we were blessed.
He leaves behind five children: Ruby Schooley, Calif.; Toni Archer, Cindy (Rick) Heckaman; Marvin (Kim) Hensley; and Carla Marie (Tim) Lowman; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren, all of Warsaw.
He lived in Warsaw for at least 58 years. He was born in Knoxville, Tenn. and is the last of his immediate family left except for a few nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 16, at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Greg Demopoulos officiating.
