Family Robbed In Goshen, Vehicle Taken In Theft
GOSHEN — A Goshen family was robbed at gun point in their home Sunday evening, Dec. 13. The robbery suspects took items from inside the home and a family vehicle.
Goshen Police were called to the 700 block of Bayberry Drive, on the south side of Goshen, at approximately 9 p.m. to the home of Eduviges and Emigidio Huerta. The Huertas, along with their son, Daniel, were home when suspects entered their home without permission. One individual displayed a handgun and demanded money from the family.
The suspects were given what money the family had in addition to two televisions, an Apple iPhone and purse. The suspects demanded the keys to Daniel Huerta’s vehicle and fled the area in the car with the items taken.
The stolen vehicle is a four-door, silver 2011 Chevrolet Malibu with an Indiana license plate number 954MBF.
The suspects’ descriptions are still being generated by police. According to victims’ statements, there were as many as three suspects in the home. The victims, though unharmed in the incident, were extremely “shaken up” over the events.
Officers continue to investigate this incident and no further information is available.
