Valley Girls Roll On In TRC Play
DENVER – The Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team took another step towards a conference title Friday night.
The Vikings dominated from start to finish in routing host North Miami 61-23 in Three Rivers Conference play.
Valley, ranked No. 8 in Class 3-A, improved to 9-1 overall and 3-0 in league action. The Vikings went 7-0 a year ago to win the TRC championship.
The Vikings led 19-6 after the opening period and 31-10 at halftime en route to their fourth straight win.
Addy Miller and Meredith Brouyette each scored 11 points to lead the way for the winners.
Anne Secrest had 10 points and nine rebounds for Valley. Brynda Krueger finished with eight points and Sophie Bussard seven. Hannah Dunn scored six points, Morgan Brazo five and Asia O’Connor three for the Vikings.
North Miam drops to 5-4 overall and 2-2 in TRC play.
Valley plays at Winamac Thursday night and then hosts Whitko in a huge TRC showdown next Saturday night. North Miami plays at Rochester on Dec. 19.
