Luminaries Line The Roads In Leesburg
LEESBURG — On a day where it was unseasonably warm and felt more like a spring day, luminaries lined the roads in the town of Leesburg during the Candelaria celebration Saturday evening, Dec. 12.
Several motorists passed by slowly on Van Buren Street to catch a glimpse of the many luminaries. They created a festive holiday glow in addition to the decorations on town hall and the lampposts, as well as private residences.
Santa Claus was brought in by the fire department on a fire truck and arrived at town hall at approximately 6:20 p.m. He patiently listened to several Christmas gift requests from children. Refreshments were served too.
Earlier in the day, the town’s life-sized Nativity was dedicated at Clover Park.
