Kellie Jean Mills
Kellie Jean Mills, 54, of Columbia City, passed away at 11:34 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 at Parkview Whitley Hospital. Born Feb. 13, 1961 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Jerry and Deanna (Timbrook) Leonard.
She grew up in Harlan and graduated from Woodland High School with the Class of 1979. While working at BRC in Churubusco in 1991, she met her soul mate, Chad Mills. The two were married Sept. 28, 1996. She also worked for 14 years at Dana.
She loved being with her husband and watching her son C.J. compete in sports. As a family she also enjoyed playing board games, watching movies and visiting her mother-in-law in Arkansas. Kellie liked being outdoors at their home and spending time with their horses, dogs and cats.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Chad Mills; son, Chad Mills Jr., Columbia City; daughter, Kori Leonard, Indianapolis; mother, Deanna Leonard, Hicksville, Ohio; brothers, Craig Leonard, Leipsic, Ohio and Kerry (Andrea) Leonard of Harlan; sister, Carla (Ryan) Bleeke, New Haven; and grandchildren, Idolis Leonard, Joelius Leonard-Coder and Nevaeh Kelly.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made toward her final expense account, I.C.O. DeMoney-Grimes.
