SYRACUSE — A late afternoon stabbing incident Tuesday, Dec. 8, quickly turned to a hunt for one man after he fled the scene, still armed and on the loose.
Gary C. Yoder, 47, 702 S. Kinder Drive, Syracuse, was detained not long after it was reported he was on the loose after allegedly stabbing another male in the area of Greenhaus Drive, Syracuse, the location of the Greenhaus apartment complex.

Police later showed up at Yoder’s residence on Kinder Drive to serve and utilize a search warrant on the home.
Syracuse Police were assisted by Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
Yoder was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 5:53 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, on a charge of aggravated battery with a bond of $15,250.
