Glen ‘Whitey’ Bellman
Glen “Whitey” Bellman, 81, Nappanee, died at 8:05 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor from a long illness. He was born Oct. 15, 1934, in Bremen, to Earl and Zula (Stump) Bellman. He was a lifetime area resident. Whitey owned several gas stations in Nappanee, and retired from Utilimaster. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, and was an avid Cub’s fan.
He married Mary Ellen Croussore on Oct. 2, 1955, in Bremen. She preceded him in death on Jan. 31, 2013. He is survived by children: Jim (Rhonda) Bellman, Nappanee; Todd Bellman, Goshen; Terri Geyer, Nappanee; Deb (Ron) Ross, Bristol; Tammy Martz; and Tina (Dan) Newcomer, both of Nappanee; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and sister: Betty Reaker, Mishawaka. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary; son-in-law: Bob Martz; daughter-in-law: Michelle Bellman; and great-granddaughter: Cala Geyer.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, and for an hour prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, all at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Pastor Norm Reimer will officiate. Burial will follow at South Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Church of the Brethren on Mack Drive in Nappanee.
