MENTONE — The following events are scheduled to take place this month at the Bell Memorial Public Library, Mentone.
Learn How to Make Soap
Have you always wondered how to make your own soap? Would you like to watch the soap making process from beginning to end? Learn how to make good, safe soap for your family. Shaun Mudd will be here to demonstrate the process from beginning to end. Mudd will make a 6-pound “loaf” of soap and he will have some samples to take home. Time and date will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29. There is no cost for this program. Sign up for a reminder call.
Make a Paperback Book Christmas Tree
For December we are making a paperback book Christmas tree. These are made out of old paperback books and are decorated with buttons, ribbon, glitter and other Christmas bling. Cost for this program is $2 and you must sign up. Time and date is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15. Demo is on display in the library or check out the pictures on our website.
Walorski Representative Coming To Bell Library
If you have questions, comments or concerns for Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, Chris Lee, Field Representative for Congresswoman Jackie Walorsk, will be at Bell Library 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16.
Check Out Our Other Programs for December
- Our children’s story times have changed. They are now at 3 p.m. every Wednesday. Don’t forget our Lego club at 1 p.m. the third Saturday of the month.
- Our Movie Matinee is at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21. We will view “A Royal Christmas.” Refreshments will be provided.
- Zumba at Bell Library will not be held for December. Beginning in January a new beginner’s class will be starting. For more info follow Eva’s Zumba and hip hop classes on Facebook.
- Euchre at Bell Library is at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28. Coffee will be provided but bring your own snacks and drinks. There will be prizes for the highest score, the most loners and a booby prize. Come join the fun.
- Our Quilting Club will not be meeting for December. In January we will be changing the program to “So Many Things to Sew,” and will be doing small sewing projects each month. Come and learn how to sew. You can bring your own machine or we have 12 sewing machines available to use.
