New iMac Computer at Library
The Nappanee Public Library recently acquired a fully-loaded 27-inch iMac computer with the complete 2015 Adobe Creative Cloud Suite for use in their makerspace, the Cube. The professional-level applications included have the power to take your business, hobby or single project to an entirely new level. With Adobe’s Creative Cloud technology, artists, designers and engineers can access and save files and attributes across devices in thirty different programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Audition, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and much more!
The computer is for use by the public, and no library card is required. For more information contact the library.
Quilt Guild
The Nappanee Quilt Guild, a club for those interested in new quilting techniques, meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Nappanee Public Library. Members will meet at the library next from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10. Membership for the “Artful Quilters” is open to anyone. Join the fun and fellowship with other quilters while keeping up to date with new activities and techniques in the quilting world. Bring your own projects to share, check out planned programs for the coming year, and sign up for trips.
Book Club Chooses Titles
Join the Nappanee Public Library Cover to Cover Book Club for their next meeting, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, for a “free for all” discussion on books. Participants will wrap up the year’s meetings by sharing their thoughts on topics of their choosing, including books reviewed over the past year and offering suggestions for next year’s selections.
This is a great time to introduce yourself, if you’ve been thinking about joining in on the monthly discussions. New participants are always welcome, so bring your favorite book, some new ideas, and a fellow book lover to this month’s meeting! Members meet from 6:30-8 p.m. the third Tuesday, at the library to discuss titles alternating between fiction and non-fiction selections.
Lego Meeting
The Nappanee Public Library Lego Club will meet next on Thursday, Dec. 17. Kids ages 5 and up are invited to take part in age-group-appropriate challenges and free building time on the third Thursday of every month during the school year at the Library from 6:30-8 p.m. This month’s building challenge is “In My Closet.”
No registration is required, and parents are welcome to stay and participate. Children under six must be accompanied by an adult, and all materials will be provided.
