UPDATE: Accident Reported On US 30 Eastbound
UPDATE: David A. Gentile, 59, Grayfield Court, Fort Wayne, was not injured in a single-vehicle accident Saturday evening on Lake City Highway, west of Anchorage Road, Warsaw. But he was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for non-accident related matters.
Warsaw Police report the accident occurred at 6:21 p.m. Gentile told police he was eastbound in his 2005 Infinity, when he began to feel ill. He stated he began to sweat and became dizzy. He was nearing the intersection of Lake City Highway and Anchorage Road and was going to pull his vehicle off he roadway. However, he could not explain, nor remember, driving off the roadway, believing he must have passed out. Upon waking, realized his vehicle had left the roadway and hit the guardrail.
Damage was estimated up to $10,000.
WARSAW — Emergency personnel are currently responding to an accident located off of US 30 in the eastbound lane near the SR 15 ramp.
One passenger style vehicle struck a guard rail at the scene however it is unknown if others were involved at this time. Officials at the scene noted it is unknown if any injuries were sustained in the crash.
