Helen Bailey Jones Latta Aldrich
WARSAW — Helen Bailey Jones Latta Aldrich, age 95, of Warsaw, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.
She was born June 16, 1920 in Pierceton, to Ralph and Pearl (Goppert) Bailey. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County and wintered in Cove Estates, Osteen, Flor.
She was united in marriage to Hayden Maxwell Jones June 17, 1939 who preceded her on July 12, 1966, furthermore, she was united in marriage to Carl “Tuffy” Latta Oct. 1, 1971 who preceded her Dec. 15, 1987, finally she was united in marriage to Donald Aldrich Jan. 25, 1990 who survives.
Reed and Murdoch of Pierceton, formerly employed her as a chemist. In addition, she was co-owner of Jones Hardware, and a real estate agent for Culbertson Realty. Her memberships include Warsaw Moose Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Pierceton Chamber of Commerce as past president and Chapman Lake Conservation Club serving as grand marshall for the 2015 Flotilla.
Survivors include a son: Hayden “Max” (spouse Mary Carroll) Jones, II, Warsaw; daughter Mary Lou Jones McFarren, Warsaw; stepchildren Steve (Anne) Aldrich, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Tracey (Dennis) Brown, Dayton, Ohio; and Claudia (Rich) Mach, Flint, Mich.; two brothers, Ralph (Myrna) Bailey, Columbia City and Donald Bailey, Pierceton. Also, 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4 at the Menzie-Reece Post #258 of the American Legion in Pierceton, Indiana, 104 North First St. Arrangements are entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel.
