Dorothy M. Miller
Dorothy M. Miller, 82, of Columbia City, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at Sycamore Village, Fort Wayne.
Born Jan. 19, 1933, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Wilbert M. and Louise F. (Heinig) Luderman.
Her family moved in 1935 to Whitley County and she graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1950. On Oct. 15, 1950 she married Max E. Miller at Columbia City United Methodist Church. Dorothy was in payroll data processing at Columbia City Dana Weatherhead for 45 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son: Michael (Valerie) Miller of Rex, Ga.; daughter: Diane Miller; sister-in-law: Marietta Hiscutt of Cordova, Tenn.; grandchildren: Joel A. (Stephanie) Miller, Bradley Miller, Brandon (Violet) Miller and Matthew Miller; great-grandchildren: Will and Benjamin Miller, Elizabeth and Johnathan Miller; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Helen Rose and Luella Myers.
Her funeral service will start 11 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 6, at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. There will be no visitation. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at South Park Annex Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be given in her memory to Humane Society of Whitley County or Wilbert & Louise Luderman Scholarship Fund, I.C.O. Whitley County Community Foundation.
