Deborah Jolene ‘Deb’ Brown
Deborah Jolene “Deb” Brown, 61, North Webster, passed away at 7:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice in Fort Wayne. She was born on March 15, 1954, in Tyler, Texas, to Joseph M. and Bettye J. (Gilbreath) Minniear.
She graduated in 1972 from Southern Wells High School in Poneto, and attended Ball State University in Muncie. On July 4, 2008, in North Webster, she married David R. “Randy” Brown who survives. She was an entrepreneur for an internet company for 20 years, former owner / operator of Enchanted Elephant Retail Store and Museum in Marathon, Fla. for several years, and current co-owner of Happy Acres Investment, LLC in North Webster for the past nine years. She moved to North Webster in 2005 from Deland, FL.
She was a former member of the Kosciusko County Knitting Knots Club.
She is survived by her husband: Randy Brown, North Webster; daughter; Andrea (Jeff) Gately, Pine Island, Fla.; son: Jeff (Theresa) Stanley, Plattsmouth, Neb.; stepdaughter: Jennifer Brown, Tarpon Springs, Fla.; three grandchildren: Kelsi Gately; Abigail Stanley; and Benjamin McKinney; three sisters: Kathy (William) Fretz, Kalamazoo, Mich.; Tanya (Pat) Steinert, Markle; and Lindsey (Steve) Lawrence, New Albany; brother: Scott (Robin) Minniear, Liberty Center; six nephews; and one neice. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, dec. 5, at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Conner of the Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in North Webster.
