WARSAW — The Warsaw Career Center will be holding multiple events throughout the month of December. Dedicated to helping Warsaw residents get the job they want, the career center will provide workshops, a blood drive and a food drive. The Warsaw Career Center is located at 751 Anchorage Point Drive, Warsaw.
Make a Christmas card and learn how to use Microsoft Word in the process. Update your resume so that you are ready for interviews as the New Year approaches. Workshops are always free to the public and provide job seekers an opportunity for continuous growth and improvement. One-on-one assistance is also available by appointment. The Microsoft Word workshop will be held from 2-3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, and the Resume 101 workshop will be held from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Join Warsaw’s Community Career Center and The Medical Foundation for a Blood Drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8. Donors will receive their choice of a $15 Goodwill gift certificate or a limited edition T-shirt. Sign up online with sponsor code: Goodwill. Or, visit the Career Center to sign up in person. Eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water prior to coming in to donate. Eating extra iron-rich foods the week before can help prevent deferral. Bring a photo ID.
We’re partnering with Combined Community Services to host a food drive and we welcome your donations from Monday, Dec. 14 to Friday, Dec. 18. Bring non-perishable food items to the Career Center and place them in their box. Your items will be distributed to those in our community who are in need during the holiday season. While you’re here, find out more about what the Warsaw Career Center can do to help you or someone you know.
