Flute Ensemble To Perform
WINONA LAKE — Water’s Edge Flute Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, in the chapel of Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake.
Their program, “Art, Animals & Imagination!” will include “Pictures at an Exhibition” (the five-minute tour) based on the orchestral masterwork by Modest Mussorgsky, well known tunes by composer Henry Mancini, including music from the “Pink Panther” movie, “Ma Mère l’Oye” (Mother Goose Suite), and other entertaining favorites arranged for flute choir.
Guest artists, performing as a jazz trio, will be joining Water’s Edge — local cellist, Mary Jeane Kraft, Amy Miller on piano, and percussionist, Brad Nethercutt. With now more than 10 flutists performing on nearly all instruments within the flute family, Water’s Edge Flute Ensemble produces a uniquely beautiful sound.
This one hour performance is free and open to the general public. Contact director Dawn Engler at (574) 268-9484 or http://dawnengler.weebly.com/flute-ensemble.html for more information.
