Boots For Scholars Program Hosts Largest Event Yet
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — For the third year in a row, the Kosciusko Board of Realtors partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana and hosted the largest number of children to date in their Boots for Scholars Program.
KBOR met and presented 30 children involved in the Big Brothers Big Sister’s mentoring programs each $30 Gift Cards at the Shoe Carnival store on Saturday, Nov. 21. Brittany Halferty, Community and Site Based Match Support Specialist, helped organize the group of “Big’s and Littles” to accept their Shoe Carnival Gift Cards.
KBOR and Big Brothers Big Sisters have partnered with Shoe Carnival three years in a row and appreciates the staff of Shoe Carnival for the hospitality and dedication to the community. The shopping spree was followed by a breakfast hosted at Coldwell Banker Roth Wehrly Graber’s Warsaw office.
KBOR believes that children and families are made stronger when the community works together as partners to assist those families in need. The Boots for Scholars program was started over 10 years ago and continues to grow each year.
