Lego Slippers: Protecting Parents’ Feet From Stray Lego Bricks
LONDON, ENGLAND — Every parent with a Lego-loving child will at some point have experienced the pain of stepping on a rogue Lego brick.
Now ad agency Brand Station has worked with the famous Danish toy firm to come up with a solution — Lego-branded slippers with an extra-thick sole, protecting sensitive feet from the agony of Lego-tread.
Even the most delicate-footed soul could march into a child’s bedroom with confidence in a pair of these brightly colored slippers — but unfortunately availability is limited. Only 1,500 sets are being made and they’ll be given away to customers who create a wish-list on the Lego France website.
In a post on their Facebook page Brand Station said: “Because your kids love Lego … this year we have imagined for you parents the ultimate gift for Christmas: Lego slippers with a padded sole which will enable you to walk around the house in the middle of the night … without any worries!”
Quite how these yellow-and-red rectangular slippers do more to protect your feet than the average indoor footwear, we do not know — but they’re certainly eye-catching, and proud recipients have been sharing pictures of their Lego slippers on social media with using the hashtag #noellego2015.
