Kathaleen Jetmore
Kathaleen Jetmore, 86, Syracuse, passed away on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at Peabody Retirement Community.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1929, in Harlan, to Grover and Orpha (May) Boger. On Aug. 6, 1948, she married Raymond Jetmore who preceded her in 2005. She moved to Syracuse in 1951 coming from Coldwater, Mich. She retired from Penn/Johnson Controls after 33 years of service. She was a longtime member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Syracuse.
Kathaleen enjoyed various crafts including Knitting, sewing, and especially painting China. She belonged to several clubs pertaining to the various crafts. She enjoyed setting up her crafts at different auctions, bazaars, and craft shows throughout the years. She enjoyed boating and spending summers with the family on Hamilton Lake for many years. She volunteered for many years with the local Girl Scouts. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to many.
She is survived by her son: Daniel Jetmore, Fort Wayne; daughter: Diann Kay Penny, Tucson, Ariz.; granddaughter; Krista Penny, Tucson, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband; three brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Eastlund Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the funeral home with Reverend Carl Satre officiating. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery.
