Orangutan Baby Is On The Way At The Indianapolis Zoo
INDIANAPOLIS — The zoo announced Wednesday that its 22-year-old Sumatran orangutan, Sirih, is pregnant with her second offspring. Her daughter was born in 2003 at the Frankfurt Zoo in Germany.
Her future baby will be the first orangutan born at the Indianapolis Zoo’s Simon Skjodt International Orangutan Center.
The zoo plans to update the public on Sirih’s pregnancy through monthly updates, live events and social media interaction.
